I’ve been thinking a lot about trust lately—not in others, but in ourselves. How often do we hesitate, replay decisions, and let doubt take the lead? Overthinking used to be my comfort zone, a place where I could analyze every possibility to avoid failure. But I’ve realized that overthinking doesn’t protect us—it just holds us back.
This hit me hard the day I took my tripod into town for a solo photo session. I nearly talked myself out of it. What if people stared? What if I looked ridiculous? But instead of letting those thoughts paralyze me, I chose action. I took the photos, laughed when things didn’t go as planned, and walked away feeling empowered instead of embarrassed. That small moment reminded me of something big: Confidence isn’t about perfection. It’s about trusting yourself to handle whatever happens next. I’ll share more about this in a blog post this week.
Your Confidence Challenge
This week, I challenge you to take one bold action—something you’ve been overthinking. It can be as simple as wearing the outfit you love, speaking up in a meeting, or saying yes to an opportunity without overanalyzing. Take the leap, and notice how good it feels to trust yourself.
