Lisa’s Letter 05.19.2025

Hey friend,

A few brands I’ve tried

Let’s talk about makeup—not just the products but also the way our relationship to them shifts as we age.

For years, I had lash extensions. They were my go-to—one less thing to worry about in the mornings, and I loved how they made me feel polished without effort. But eventually, I took a break… and let me tell you, my natural lashes were left feeling very betrayed 😅

Cue the great mascara search of midlife. I bought the tubes everyone raved about, tried the ones the beauty girls swore by… and still, nothing worked quite right.  Smudging, flaking, zero lift.
Mascara meltdown = confidence meltdown.

But that little frustration got me thinking:
Our approach to beauty changes because we change.
What worked at 30 doesn’t always serve us at 50—and that’s not a failure, it’s evolution.

These days, I’m much more interested in skin that feels like skin, makeup that enhances instead of hides, and rituals that make me feel seen by myself, first.

One thing I’ve been loving lately is the Skintution Foundation. It’s sheer, breathable, and perfect for summer. It doesn’t cake or settle; it gives that natural, radiant finish I’ve been looking for.
It feels like your skin, just a little more confident.

So, does your beauty drawer look a little different than it did a decade ago? Good.
That means you’re growing. Refining. Reclaiming.

Confidence Tip of the Week:
Let your makeup evolve with you.
Not because you’re trying to cover something up, but because you’re honoring who you are now. You deserve to feel good in your skin, at every stage.

And a little personal note…
This Thursday, I’ll be celebrating 33 years of marriage with my husband—an anniversary that reminds me how much can grow and shift in beautiful ways when you stay open, curious, and committed—to love, yes, but also to yourself.

Wishing you a week full of joy, beauty, and moments that make you feel fully alive.

With mascara that finally works and a heart full of gratitude,
