What I’m Shopping For: The Color Green

It's not just for St. Patrick's Day

Spring is fast approaching, it technically begins March 20, 2023, but flowers are already blooming, and green buds are emerging on the trees. And it’s not just mother nature who loves green; it’s popping up across multiple retailers and on social media. I love this trend as someone trying to add more color to their wardrobe.

As an older woman, there is lots of advice about what not to wear when you’re over 40, but I tend to ignore most of it! I’ve worn muted colors for most of my 30s and 40s; I want to add some color, regardless of my age. Keep scrolling to discover some of my favorite green pieces I’m excited about wearing this spring.

Green is a very down–to–earth color. It can represent new beginnings and growth. It also signifies renewal and abundance.  -Cameron Chapman

Sweaters

The weather can be unpredictable in spring, 80 degrees one day and 50 degrees the next. That’s why sweaters are an essential staple for spring. Here are some options to refresh your wardrobe.

Dresses

Spring weddings, baby showers, and outdoor outings require a fun and chic dress. While you might not wear them daily, dresses remain essential in your closet. They offer an easy option to the change in season and are easy to style. So say bye to the winter blues and hello to these green dresses.

Accessories

I’ve been obsessed with shoes and purses since I was a kid, and nothing has changed. An outfit isn’t complete without great accessories. I’ve put together some statement-making accessories that you’re gonna love.

So grab some clothes in all shades of green and brighten your spring wardrobe. Green is the perfect color to wear as we shed the winter doldrums and re-emerge for spring. Whether you wear head-to-toe green or just a pop of color with an accessory, make sure you have fun!
